These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to all services and products provided by Colour Guru Jen ("I", "me", "my"). By booking or purchasing any service, you ("you", "the customer") agree to these Terms. Please read them before booking or buying.

1. About me

Colour Guru Jen is a colour consultancy operated by Jen Mickelborough as a sole trader, based in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

2. Services

I offer a range of colour and styling services, which may include in-person colour consultations, online colour consultations, consultations for two or more people, group sessions, wardrobe reviews, and remote personalised services such as the Partner Colour Snapshot. Services may be purchased for yourself or as a gift for another person, and may be added to or changed over time.

The details, inclusions and price of each service are as described at the point of purchase.

3. Booking and payment

Payment is taken at the point of booking or purchase through my checkout or booking provider. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable taxes.

For appointment-based services, your booking is confirmed once payment has been received and a date and time (and, where relevant, a location) have been agreed.

4. In-person services

For in-person consultations, the location will be agreed in advance. Where I travel to you, please ensure the space is suitable for the session, with reasonable natural light where possible. If I am unable to carry out the session on arrival for reasons within your control, the session may be treated as a missed appointment (see section 6).

5. Online and remote services

Online consultations are delivered by video call at an agreed time. It is your responsibility to have a suitable device, internet connection and, where possible, good natural light for your session.

Remote services such as the Partner Colour Snapshot are delivered digitally based on photographs and information you provide (see section 8).

6. Rescheduling and cancellation of appointments

If you need to reschedule or cancel a booked appointment (in-person, online, or group), please give me at least 48 hours' notice. With at least 48 hours' notice, I will happily rearrange your session or, if you prefer, offer a full refund.

If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, or do not attend a booked appointment, the fee may be retained to cover the reserved time. I will always try to be fair and flexible where genuine circumstances arise, so please do get in touch.

7. Cancellation of online services before delivery

Where you have booked an online or remote service in advance, you have the right to cancel and receive a full refund at any time before the service has been provided, provided you have given the notice set out in section 6 for appointments, or before work has begun for remote personalised services (see section 8).

8. The Partner Colour Snapshot and other bespoke remote services

The Partner Colour Snapshot is a personalised, remote service prepared for an individual based on photographs and information you provide, and delivered digitally.

To create it, you must send the photographs and information requested in the instruction email you receive after purchase. I cannot begin work until I have received suitable photographs and information. If the photographs supplied are unsuitable, I will ask for replacements; delays in providing what I need will delay delivery.

By submitting photographs, you confirm that you have the right to share them and, where the images are of another person, that you have that person's consent for the images to be used to create the service.

Once I have received suitable photographs and information, I will prepare and deliver the personalised service digitally, typically within 5 working days, and will confirm timescales after purchase.

Because this service is bespoke and created specifically for you, it is exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This means that once I have begun preparing it, the purchase is non-refundable. If you change your mind before I have started work, please contact me at hello@colourgurujen.com and I will refund your payment in full.

9. Gift purchases

Some services may be bought as a gift for another person. Where a service is purchased as a gift, these Terms apply to both the purchaser and the person receiving the service. Appointment scheduling and, where relevant, the provision of photographs and information will be arranged with the person receiving the service.

10. Nature of the services

My services provide personal guidance on colours, tones, styling and wardrobe choices. They are offered as helpful, professional opinion intended to support your own choices. Results depend on the information provided and, for remote services, on the quality and accuracy of the photographs supplied.

11. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights. Services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If you are unhappy with any service you have received, please contact me and I will do my best to put things right.

12. Intellectual property

Any materials I provide, including palettes, snapshots and written guidance, are for your personal use and the personal use of the individual they are prepared for. You may not resell, redistribute or reproduce them for commercial purposes.

13. Limitation of liability

My services are provided in good faith as personal styling and colour guidance. I am not liable for any purchasing decisions you make as a result, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes my liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14. Privacy

Any personal information and photographs you provide are handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy, available at https://www.colourgurujen.com/privacy

15. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking or purchase is the version that applies.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
